Information Needed – Capital Murder Investigation 109 West Overton Road

Update August 12, 2017, at 12:17 am:

Through the course of the investigation it was determined that Chris Betts, a Black male 20-years-old was responsible for the death of Victim Gregory Wallace.  With the assistance of the United States Marshal Service, Betts was apprehended in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on unrelated warrants.  Betts will also be charged with capital murder.  His bond is set at $500,000.00. Please see the arrest affidavit below.

On August 10, 2017, at approximately 12:29 p.m., the victim, Gregory Wallace, a  33-year-old Black male, was discovered shot inside a motel room at 109 West Overton Road.  The victim’s 2001 Green Honda Civic with a temporary Texas paper tag #746681 is missing. 

Anyone with information regarding this capital murder is encouraged to contact Homicide Detective Brian Tabor at 214-671-3605 orbrian.tabor@dpd.ci.dallas.tx.us Please refer to case number 181938-2017.
