Surveillance Video Captures Images of Aggravated Robbery Suspect Surveillance video posted at http://www.sugarlandtx.gov/robbery170738

Sugar Land, TX - Sugar Land police are looking for a man who attempted to steal a woman's purse inside Walmart, 345 State Highway 6, on Feb. 17.

A woman said she left her purse unattended in a shopping cart, and when she returned, the purse was missing.  She and her husband saw a man placing an item in his jacket while walking away. They followed the man and confirmed he took the purse.

The woman's husband demanded the return of the purse.  A struggle ensued, and the woman's husband tackled the man to the floor.  During the struggle, a handgun fell from the thief's pants.  The suspect retrieved his gun, pointed it toward the woman's husband, left the purse and ran out of the store.  He was described as a 5 foot 4 inch black man in his 20s to 30s and was wearing glasses, a black hat, a forest green jacket and dark pants.

Surveillance video showed the suspect exiting a white Toyota passenger vehicle and entering Walmart at 8:40 p.m.

Anyone with information should call the Sugar Land Police Department at (281) 275-2540 or Fort Bend County Crime Stoppers at (281) 342-TIPS (8477).
