South Houston Police are searching for the men suspected of shooting a 17-year-old several times during a robbery of a group of teenagers at a South Houston convenience store parking lot Saturday night..

Five teenagers, three girls and two boys, went to the store at the 500 block of Houston Boulevard just before midnight Saturday. The two boys went into the store and were approached by between three and four masked men demanding their money, according to the South Houston Police Department.

At least one of the men had a pistol and hit one of the teens while demanding his belongings. One of the robbers fired three or four shots into the car, where the three girls were sitting, and hit one of them three times in the upper right side of her body.

The attackers fled the scene in a four-door black car.

The 17-year-old girl, who has not been identified, is in critical but stable condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital, according to Chief Herbert Gilbert.

The attackers have not been identified and were wearing all black and ski masks, investigators said. Gilbert said the teenagers said they did not know their attackers, who got away with a few dollars and a cell phone.

Anyone with information on this incident is asked to call the South Houston Police Department at (713) 944-1910.
