DICKINSON -Carlton James Morgan, Sr. of Dickinson was born December 13, 1959 in Galveston, Texas.  He passed from this life, January 5, 2013 at his home.

A graduate of Dickinson High School and Southern University, he was employed with the Galveston County Sheriff's Department where he had worked for 28 ½ years.  He was also a member of Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church.


Preceded in death by his father, Freddie Morgan, Jr. and his grandparents, David and Dora Brooks and Mr. & Mrs. Freddie Morgan, Sr., memories of his life will forever be cherished by his children, James Ayeo, Carlton J. Morgan, Jr.  and Cameron J. Morgan; his mother, Barbara B. Morgan; his sister, Patricia Britton;  brothers, Freddie Morgan, III and Anthony  W. Morgan;  2 grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.


Services will be held at Shrine of the True Cross Catholic Church, 300 FM 517 in Dickinson with visitation beginning Friday, January 11th at 5:00 PM followed by a Rosary at 7:00PM.  Funeral  Mass will be 12:30 PM Saturday, January 12, 2013  at the church with Father Paul Felix. Burial will follow at Forest Park  East Cemetery in Webster. www.mainlandfhlamarque.com

Was so sad to hear about Carl passing. Will miss seeing him when I go to the old court house. His family is in my prayers.
