After his swearing in January 1, 2013, newly installed Constable Trever Nehls introduced his new command staff.  Constable Nehls named retired Sugar Land Officer John Hermann as Chief Deputy and retired Houston Police Detective Ruben Valencia as Lieutenant.

Chief Deputy Hermann is well known in the Sugar Land community having worked for Sugar Land PD for the past 19 years.  He served in the patrol division for the majority of that time with a period of 4 years as a motorcycle officer in the traffic division.  "John brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the office and I'm honored that he is a member of our team at Precinct 4", said Constable Nehls.

Lieutenant Ruben Valencia retired from the Houston Police Department with 27 years of service.  He worked 16 years in patrol and spent his last 11 years as a Detective in the Robbery Division.  Lt. Valencia comes to Precinct 4 having spent the last 10 years at Lamar ISD as a School Resource Officer.

Constable Nehls said, "I am extremely pleased to have John and Ruben as members of the command team.  Their extensive experience and leadership will further build upon an already professional organization."
