Houston police are asking for the public's help in locating an individual wanted for questioning in the fatal assault of a woman at 5200 Telephone Road about 2:10 a.m. today (June 3).

The victim, Dixa Rios, 38, of Houston, was pronounced dead at the scene.  Three male victims, Adan Salgado, 36, Celso Velasquez, 32, and Maneesh Roberts, 46, were transported to area hospitals with possible broken bones.  Their conditions are not known at this time.

Rigoberto Alexander Escobar, believed to be in his mid-30s, is not charged in this case but is wanted for questioning.  A photo of Escobar is attached to this news release.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeant J. Horn and Detective B. Roberts reported:

HPD patrol officers and Houston Fire Department paramedics responded to the above address after it was reported several people had been run over by a pickup truck.  Upon arrival, paramedics pronounced Ms. Rios deceased and transported the other three victims to area hospitals for treatment.

Further investigation revealed an ex-boyfriend of Rios (Escobar) may have observed her crossing the street towards JoJo's Club.  He is suspected of then running over Rios at least three times, as well as striking anyone near her, before fleeing the scene.

Escobar is believed to be driving a 2002 to 2005 silver or beige Ford F-150 pickup truck with Texas license plates GTJ-7424.

Anyone with information on Escobar's whereabouts or on this case is urged to contact the HPD Homicide Division at 713-308-3600 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.
