Fatality Accident 11500 Ferguson Road

 

On February 17, 2018, at about 6:44 PM, (H/F/35 ) was traveling south bound 11500 Ferguson Road in a Ford Explorer when a vehicle driven by a H/M/36 pulled out in front of her from a private drive unto Ferguson and failed to yield the right of way. The Ford Explorer struck the driver door of The Honda Accord. The 36 year old male driver of the accord was transported by Dallas Fire Rescue to Baylor White Rock Hospital where he died as a result of his injuries.  The Hispanic female driver of the explorer was not injured. This is traffic fatality #24 for the year.  This crash is documented on case number 035049-2018.

 

 Shooting 9600 Forest Lane

 

On February 18, 2018, Officers were dispatched to the 9600 block of Forest Lane regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered one male victim had been shot. Preliminary investigation determined  the victim was returning from the grocery store when he was approached by to unknown black male suspects. The suspects demanded the victims money and groceries. During this time one of the suspects struck the victim with a handgun. The handgun discharged a round that grazed the victims head. The suspects initially fled the location on foot then possibly, in a silver older model Ford Crown Victoria. The victim was transported to Presbyterian Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue in good condition. This offense is documented on case number CASE #?035154-2018.

 

 Shooting 2800 Warren Avenue

 

 On February 17, 2018, at about 10:04 p.m. officers were dispatched to the 2800 block of Warren Avenue regarding a shooting. Upon arrival officers determined one victim was shot. The victim was transported to Baylor Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. There are no suspects in custody at this time. This offense is documented on case number on 035128-2018.

 

Shooting 10707 Finnel Street

 

Officers were dispatched to 10707 Finnel Street regarding a shooting. Upon arrival officers discovered one individual was shot. Preliminary investigation revealed a Latin male suspect and the victim had a verbal disagreement that spilled out in Ho the parking lot. The suspect fired a round into the air from a weapon and left the location, before returning and firing a second round which struck the victim in the back. The victim was transported by Dallas Fire Rescue to Parkland Hospital in good condition. The suspect fled the location in an unknown type gray SUV. This offense is documented on CASE #?035259-2018.



Robbery & Pursuit 4600 Amesbury Drive

 

On February 16, 2018, at about 8:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 4600 block of Amesbury Road regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim. The victim was in a parked vehicle when she observed a white Ford F15o. A Black male suspect exited the front seat of the Ford and approached the victim’s vehicle. The suspect demanded the victim’s property. The victim complied and the suspect fled the location in the Ford F150. About an hour late Northeast patrol officers observed the suspect’s vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, the suspect vehicle refused to stop. The officers pursued the vehicle until the vehicle pursuit ended in the 3000 block of Pennsylvania Avenue. Four suspects fled from the suspect vehicle on foot. Officers were able to take all four suspects into custody with the help of Air 1. The suspects were taken to Jack Evans Headquarters for questioning. This is all the information available at this time. This offense will be documented on case number 034399-2018. The investigation is ongoing.

 

 

Shooting 2100 block of Highwood Drive

 

On February 17, 2018, at about 3:29 a.m. Officers were dispatched to the 2100 block of Highwood Drive regarding a shooting. Upon arrival, officers discovered one male was shot. During the preliminary investigation it was determined that three suspects were attempting to break into the victims vehicle. The victim confronted the suspects and gunfire was exchanged. During the gunfire the victim was struck. The suspects fled the location. The suspects wore dark clothing and ski masks during the offense. The victim suffered gunshot wounds to the back and neck area and was transported to Baylor Hospital by Dallas Fire Rescue. The victim is in stable condition and expected to survive. This is all the information available. This offense will be documented on case number 034597-2018. The investigation continues.
