Public Relations Officer – Sgt. Bennie Boles

New Police Neighborhood Center

Opens February 17th, 2018 11am-2pm

The City of La Porte and the La Porte Police Department (LPPD) are excited to announce the grand opening of a Police Neighborhood Center in the Delta Court Apartments, 3101 S. Broadway, La Porte, Texas. The Delta Court Apartments partnered with LPPD in an effort to better serve the surrounding community by providing a space for the Patrol Area Representative (PAR) Officer Anthony Bish. Officer Bish will office from the center as much as possible, Monday through Friday.

LPPD is opening the center in an effort to better serve the citizens by assigning the District One PAR Officer to the center during the week. The officer’s primary responsibility is to continue fostering positive relations with the community, through direct contact throughout the week. Additionally, should the need arise, the PAR officer will have the full capability to take reports and address concerns in the immediate area. This will allow LPPD to literally be in the neighborhood. The placement of the center will not impact police patrols and calls for service already in place. The center is an added measure and continued effort to serve the community.

LPPD’s District 1 PAR Officer Anthony Bish (District 1), has more than 11 years of law enforcement experience and holds an Advanced Peace Officer Certificate. He has worked assignments in patrol and criminal investigations before being assigned to the department’s Support Services Division.

La Porte Police Department stresses that it is through community partnerships, such as the one created with the Delta Court Apartments, which can make a difference in the quality of life for everyone in the City of La Porte. For more information on any of La Porte Police Department’s community outreach initiatives, please contact the Support Services Division at 281-842-3183.
