ANGLETON, Texas - Angleton police are searching for a rapist who assaulted a teenager who was waiting at a railroad crossing late Wednesday night.

Channel 2 does not identify sexual assault victims, so we are not naming the victim, but we spoke to her mother, who said her daughter's rapist was especially brutal.

"He choked her, and he put her on the ground, and the whole time he had her choking," she said. "She's got lots of marks on her neck and you can see his fingerprints on her chin."

The teenager was sitting in her car at a railroad crossing at the 200 block of South Anderson just before midnight Wednesday night.

That's when the attacker opened an unlocked door, jumped in and pointed a gun at his victim.

"She just wasn't prepared for any of that," her mother said through tears. "She was just going to go home, that's all. She's a good girl, we had fun, we went to Christmas lights yesterday and she was just going home."

After stealing a few dollars from the teen's purse, the attacker forced her to drive to a nearby location.

Investigators said that's when he pulled her out of the car and raped her.

Her mother said she now has two goals: help her daughter heal and get the rapist caught to keep the community safe.

"We don't need anybody like that," she said. "We don't need anybody just to randomly just come and do these things and terrorize her. And so, it's really important that we find him so this can't happen again."

The attacker is described as a black man standing about 5 feet 7 inches tall with a muscular build. He was wearing a black mask and a black hoodie. They said when he got into the teen's car he displayed a black pistol. Anyone with information is asked to call Angleton police at 979-849-2383.
