On 11-16-2017 at 10:25 A.M. Officers made contact with Demetrius Smith (36 YOA male) in the 500 block of Grove. Officers were aware that Smith had an outstanding warrant for aggravated robbery. Smith was placed under arrest for the warrant. The warrant stemmed from a report made on 11-07-2017 where the victim was allegedly punched and then the suspect took a small amount of cash from the victim.


On 11-16-2017 at 12:54 P.M. Officers responded to the 100 block of NE 25th in regards to a warrant arrest. Officers made contact with Kedron White (23 YOA male) who was found to have an outstanding warrant for burglary of a habitation as well as two misdemeanor warrants. White was placed under arrest for the warrants. The warrant stemmed from a report made on 08-05-2017 where a television was stolen from a residence in the 400 block of NE 25th.


On 11-16-2017 at 4:41 P.M. Officers responded to the 1500 block of Clarksville in regards to a theft complaint. Officers were told that a possible known suspect had stolen merchandise from the store and then fled. Officers were told that an employee of the store pursued the suspect and after making contact with the suspect confronted the suspect about the theft. Officers were told that the suspect hit the employee in the head and stomach which upgraded the offense to a robbery. The employee did not need medical attention. The investigation is ongoing.


Paris Police responded to 93 calls for service and arrested 9 persons over the past 24 hours ending at 6:00 A.M. on November 17, 2017.
