On September 21, 2017, deputies with Harris County Constable Mark Herman’s Office responded to an armed robbery and car-jacking in the 13900 block of Cantwell Dr. The complainant advised Deputies that two black males wearing ski-masks held him up at gun point, took the keys out of his pocket and stole his vehicle. The description of the vehicle was quickly shared with area Constable Deputies and within three minutes of receiving the call, deputies spotted the stolen vehicle being driven on Veterans Memorial Drive.  Deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop on the vehicle and the defendant, identified as Deangelo Garcia, 17, failed to stop, leading to a short police pursuit that came to end near the intersection of Bammel North Houston and West. Greens Road.

Constable Deputies placed Garcia into custody for Aggravated Robbery and Felony Evading in a Motor Vehicle and returned the vehicle back to the rightful owner. Constable Investigators’ are currently working to identify the second suspect involved.” Said Constable Mark Herman.
