Galveston Man Arrested for Shooting at Vehicles/Evading Arrest
September 18th 2017

On September 17th 2017 at approximately 4:00am, the Galveston Police Department Patrol Division responded to reports of a suspect shooting at moving vehicles near the 2100 block of Seawall Boulevard in Galveston, Texas.

Witnesses provided a thorough description of the suspect. Patrol Officers in the area located a subject matching the description of the shooting suspect on a bicycle traveling at a high rate of speed.

The subject fled from Officers and was ultimately place into custody. The subject was identified as 23 year old Raul Gonzales of Galveston, Texas.

Gonzales was found to be in possession of a “BB” style handgun. Gonzales was formally charged with the offenses of Aggravated Assault carrying an $80,000 bond and Evading Arrest or Detention carrying a $7,500 bond.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the incident.

The Galveston Police Department would like to commend all Officers involved in this case for their dedication to the safety of the residents and visitors of Galveston Island.

Since his last felony charge in 2014 was dismissed it looks like Raul decided to take a different path to jail.

23 years old, gang tats, shooting BB gun at cars. This screams of mental issues cause by years of living on the streets and staying high as a kite 24/7.

The picture and actions of this 23 yr-old boy tells his life story. He has no self-esteem, no money, and needs to be on the inside getting mental treatment.

I've seen this many times before but where is the help, not jail...

His Look Reads "Mad At The World".
So Very Clear that We, The Public, Are That World.

His lack of self esteem and money shouldn't be a problem for everyone else. If he has mental issues that is his and his family's problem, not everyone else's. Remove him from society.

Well it's obvious, his family isn't going to step-up to help him... Born in trash..
