From Friday, August 18th to Sunday, September 3rd, 2017 the Cedar Park Police Department will increase patrol presence on local roadways to discourage and monitor for impaired driving violations as part of the ongoing regional Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Initiative.  The initiative will cover the peak Labor Day holiday travel period.

Cedar Park Assistant Chief Michael Harmon offered the following, “we encourage everyone to make the most of the remainder of summer by choosing to driver sober or designating a sober driver.”  He went on to say that, “it is important to consider the potential consequences of impaired driving including the very real possibility that a driver could end someone else’s life because of their irresponsible decision to get behind the wheel.”

Start this autumn without a fall.  Drive sober.
