Suspect from “Road Rage” Shooting Commits Suicide

On 08/11/2017 at approximately 7:25pm the Galveston Police Department responded after an older white male shot two male juveniles following what witnesses described as a “road rage” incident. One female and two male juveniles were traveling in a white Mazda when an older white male, identified as 57 year old Ernest Milligan, driving a green Plymouth quickly pulled in front of them and slammed on his brakes, causing the female driver to strike his vehicle. Both vehicles pulled over to the side of the road in the 4900 block of Ave J and all parties exited their respective vehicles.

They immediately became involved in a verbal altercation and according to witnesses Milligan pushed the female driver of the Mazda. At this point what was described as a “shoving match” between the two male juveniles and the male driver ensued until Milligan stated “I’ve got something for you”. The occupants of the Mazda quickly retreated back into their vehicle while Milligan then returned to the Plymouth and retrieved a .40 caliber Glock handgun. Milligan then fired 13 rounds into the Mazda, striking the two male juveniles. Both juveniles were transported to JSER, one in stable condition, the other in critical. The suspect in the case fled the scene before police arrived but was followed by another witness who was able to take a picture of the suspect’s vehicle and license plate which was pivotal in helping investigators identify the suspect.

Over the course of the next 12 hours, investigators worked to positively identify, request a warrant, and locate Milligan.

On Saturday afternoon at approximately 3:00pm, the Galveston Police Department and UTMB Police responded to an apparent suicide in the parking garage at UTMB. Upon arrival, investigators identified the decedent as Eugene Milligan, still sitting in a green Plymouth, who had suffered a self-inflicted gunshot wound from a .40 caliber Glock pistol that was located in the vehicle. Investigators are still working the case to assure that the gun found in Milligan’s possession was in fact the gun used in the shooting, but the Galveston Police Department is no longer searching for a suspect in the case of the shooting.

As of this time the two victims of the shooting are both in stable condition.

Its funny how so many people posted on something else about thugs, and bad kids, and this and that blaming the teenagers, when really all they were doing was defending the young lady in the car.
I bet some of u who pasted judgment on those kids are looking like straight butts right now. I just had a feeling their was more too this story then what really came out in the beginning...
