La Marque Police Department
Press Release

Press Release
Date – March 15, 2017

At approximately 2138 hours La Marque Police received a 911 call of gun shots heard in the area of FM 1765 and Lake Road.  While officers were enroute dispatch advised that they received additional calls stating that a vehicle wrecked in the parking lot of the school in the 100 block of Lake Road.  Officers arrived on location and observed a vehicle in the parking lot of the school and an injured person inside the Circle T store (across street from school).  Both locations were secured and EMS made the location to administer care to the injured male.  The male appeared to have several gun shots to his arms and torso.  The male was transported to Mainland Medical Center and then transported by air to Clear Lake Regional Medical Center. At approximately 0015 hours Clear Lake Regional Hospital advised that the male was pronounced deceased at 0004 hours.
Preliminary Investigation suggests the victim was involved in a disturbance at a different location with three people, just prior to this incident. The disturbance then relocated to Circle T’s convenience store located at 2435 FM 1765. It appears the actor shot the victim as he was sitting in his vehicle.  The actor vehicle fled south on Lake Road and the victim vehicle continued west, crossing Lake Road and on to school property where it came to rest in the parking lot.  The victim exited his vehicle and walked or ran back to Circle T’s where he entered the store and collapsed.

Anyone with information is being asked to make contact with La Marque Police Department Detective Arredondo or the La Marque Crime Stoppers.
