Court documents recently uncovered reveal new details of the fateful night three Clear Springs High School students were arrested on felony burglary charges.

According to Brazoria County court records, Daniel Lozano was celebrating his 18th birthday with classmates Matthew Wymyczak, 17, and Mason Allen, 19, at a party in League City Saturday, March 2, when the three suspects left in Wymyczak’s Ford 150 truck. In an interview with detectives, Allen reportedly said they planned to drive Lozano home but ended up in Pearland because Wymyczak had some things he needed to drop off at a friend’s house on the east side of the city.

Lozano, who was allegedly passed out in the back seat, awoke and found himself in a quiet Pearland neighborhood and saw the other two suspects checking cars for unlocked doors. He reportedly told detectives he stayed in the car to serve as the lookout but eventually joined his friends as they went from car to car stealing various items which they stowed in the back of the truck.

Court records indicate the stolen items included stereo speakers, CDs, golf clubs and fishing poles. The suspects also allegedly broke into the car of a Pearland Police officer and stole a box containing an assault rifle and SWAT Team gear.
