GALVESTON - The body of a 50 year old Texas City businessman was discovered Friday on the ground next to his pickup on Galveston's East Beach. Police say they found a pistol at the scene but would not say if the man had been shot or if it appeared he had taken his own life.

A couple walking on East Beach discovered the body of Mycol Roy Wisenbaker, Jr. and said it appeared he died of a single gunshot wound.

Wisenbaker owns Mycol's Flooring and Carpet Co. at 2323 Palmer Highway in Texas City.

He leaves a wife and three children.
