LEAGUE CITY - A 49-year old League City mother was in jail Wednesday charged with Constributing to the Non Attendance in school of her daughter in three cases and for Failure to Appear at Truancy Hearings three times.

A deputy constable from Precinct 8 Jerry Fisher's Office arrested Jeanette Elizabeth Stockman when she walked into Judge Kathleen McCumber's Court to try to clear up all the outstanding warrants.

Officials tell The Police News that cases against parents are normally deferred and often dismissed pending successful resolution of the child's attendance issues and completion of court ordered conditions such as community service.

However, repeat offenders do incur fines which occasionally result in warrants for nonpayment.

In this case however, there were additional charges initiated by a clerk of the court for Failure to Appear at the three truancy hearings.

The jailhouse was not a new experience for Stockman however. Even though she has been living in League City and has a child enrolled in the Clear Creek Independent School District, she still carries identification indicating a home address in Bryan, Texas.

It was in Bryan where she was first convicted of Theft by issuing a worthless check in 2009 and given probation only to be later arrested for violating the probation.

She has also listed her last name as Stickman in the past.

If you really examine her history you will find even more
This is not an outstanding good citizen
I feel for her kids
