Two of three brothers convicted of capital murder in the Christmas Day 1980 shooting death of an Amarillo police officer are up for parole reviews.
Victor Gutierrez, 55, and his brother, Ernesto Gutierrez, 49, face upcoming parole reviews by a panel from the state parole board, authorities said.
The three brothers, Victor, Guadalupe and Ernesto Gutierrez, were convicted of capital murder in the Dec. 25, 1980, shooting death of police officer Berry Joe McGuire, 26. All three received life sentences.
