Sheriff’s Office charge an inmate and his girlfriend with bringing contraband into a correctional facility:

Sheriff’s deputies started a month long investigation when it was discovered that inmate Jason Michael Smith was receiving drugs in the US mail service sent to him in the county jail.
 
During this investigation it was determined an unknown susbstance was located in Inmate Smith’s mail coming from his girlfriend Amanda Clark. The suspected drug was tested and confirmed to be a controlled substance.
 
Deputies from the Corrections Division, Identification Division and members of the Special Crime Unit collected evidence, which led to the charging of the two with Possession of a Prohibited Substance in a Correctional Facility which is a 3rd degree Felony.

Jason Michael Smith 31 of League City who is currently incarceted in the Galveston County Jail on unrelated drug charges is charged in this case and his bond was set at $150,000.00. Amanda Taylor Clark 21 of Bacliff was also charged in this case with her bond being set at $80,000.00.

It takes all kinds to make the world go round. I still wonder what good are people like this to society!? They will never amount to much I feel they do not have the mental capacity to do so. These two and others should be placed far offshore or in a high fenced area with others like them and kept far away from the normal folk! What do they think about do stuff like this?? Stupid is as stupid does!
