On June 2, 2014, at approximately 10:34 pm, Southeast Patrol officers responded to a shooting call at Malcolm X and Hatcher.

The victim, Bobby Ervin B/M/20 was involved in a verbal altercation at 4600 Malcolm X inside the Little World Store with 3 unknown black males.

The victim and the 3 B/M’ s continued the verbal altercation outside of the store and one of the unknown B/M’s shot the victim.  The complainant ran a short distance and collapsed.  The 3 B/M’s fled the scene in a silver colored Pontiac.

The complainant was transported by DFR to Baylor Hospital.  

The Dallas Police crime scene response team processed the scene but at approximately 12:40 am on June 3, 2014, the victim was pronounced deceased and Homicide was called to continue the investigation.  

Witnesses were brought to Homicide to be interviewed.  The suspects have not been identified.  

Next of kin was made.  Detectives are following up on several leads to determine the identity of the suspects.
