League City Police Department
Officer Reagan Pena, PIO
Immediate Release

The suspect in multiple felony identity theft cases was arrested on 6/18/14 after a joint effort by law enforcement agencies.

John Lindsey Follis was tracked to a location in the Houston area.  Houston Police Department made the arrest based on information developed by deputies with Galveston County Pct. 8 Jerry Fisher's Office and League City Police Department.
Based on the number of victims located in Galveston County, a Galveston County Grand Jury indicted Follis for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Information-10 items or more but less than 50, a second degree felony.

If convicted, Follis faces imprisonment for 2-20 years and a fine up to $10,000.  Follis remains in custody in Galveston County Jail, in lieu of a $250,000.00 bond.  The arrest came after a lengthy investigation, beginning in March 2014.
The League City Police Department is grateful to the public for their willingness to share information through social media and to the law enforcement agencies involved.

The multiagency investigation was conducted by the Galveston, Friendswood, and League City Police Departments.
