Paws & Claws Adopt-athon
The League City Animal Shelter has over one hundred pets looking for homes! This weekend the shelter, along with  other local shelters will be holding a Paws and Claws Adopt-a-thon to help empty the shelters! There will be a special $25 adoption fee. All animals will be ready to go home with you that day and the fee includes spay/neutering, vaccinations, and microchipping. Come out to the Civic Center at 400 W. Walker on Saturday from 10am - 4pm or Sunday noon-4pm and take one of the pets home!

Do you have a pet that needs a rabies vaccination or a microchip?  You're in luck, The City of League City and the Friends of the League City Animal Shelter will offer discounted vaccinations and micro-chipping at the event, and not just for adopted animals, but for all animals. Rabies vaccines are just $11 and micro-chipping is $20. Plus, animals with current shot records who are sterilized can be registered with the City for free.

City Hall in the Park – Thursday, August 21
The City of League City invites residents to learn more about their municipal government and share their opinions at the last of four monthly meetings held in neighborhoods this summer. The informal monthly meetings, which have been held the third Thursday of every month this summer, from 6-8 p.m., feature informative updates by the City Manager and others. The meetings also feature a question and answer session that allows residents to share ideas about the City and the communities they call home. “This is a chance for residents to sit down with staff and elected officials and have one-on-one conversation. We’ve had some great discussions at the last three events and hope for even more feedback at this upcoming event,” said City Manager Mark Rohr.

The last City Hall in the Park of the summer will be held Thursday, August 21 at Magnolia Creek HOA Clubhouse at 4751 League City Parkway. Refreshments will be provided. In conjunction with City Hall in the Park the League City Animal Shelter will hold a pet registration and micro-chipping event. All residents are invited to participate.
