LAKE JACKSON — Police are looking for the person who broke into four recreational vehicles at a local storage facility and might have been living in one of them.

Items from that RV were collected as evidence, including a receipt from an identified store that was dated just two days before police found it. Police are working on getting video from the store to try to identify a person.

Police were able to gather biological material to test for DNA.

Jennifer Broussard, manager of Amstate Storage near Abner Jackson Parkway and Highway 332 , called police about 6:30 p.m. Monday after finding a window broken on one of the RVs. The vehicles are stored in a covered area outside.

The police have been to Amstate twice before to investigate burglaries, she said.

Broussard said police are looking into whether the burglar might be a renter at the storage facility.

The storage facility is gated, and tenants pick their own passcode when they rent.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lake Jackson police at 979-415-2700.
