PRESS RELEASE

Fatal Traffic Collision

On September 21, 2013 at approximately 8:41 PM Officers from the Texas City Police Department responded to a two-vehicle head on traffic collision in the 3800 block of Hwy- 3.

Investigation of the collision revealed that Anjelica Moore, age 27 of Texas City was driving a 2008 Ford Fusion north bond on Hwy-3. Cynthia Torres, age 56 of La Marque was driving a 1994 Oldsmobile south bound on Hwy-3. The Oldsmobile was also occupied by front passenger, Damian Torres, age 54 of La Marque.

It appears that Moore was traveling southbound when she appeared to have lost control of her vehicle. Moore drove across the raised center divider and collided head on with Mrs. Torres’ vehicle.

Both drivers and the one passenger in the northbound vehicle were all transported to the hospital by life-flight. Moore was transported to Memorial Herman Houston where she was pronounced deceased upon arrival. Cynthia and Damian Torres were transported to UTMB Galveston. Damian Torres was pronounced deceased upon arrival.

Cynthia Torres is still hospitalized.

There are no contributing factors known at this time, both drivers and passenger appeared to have been wearing seatbelts.

The collision is still under investigation by this department.

Comments:
My sincere condolences to the Torres' family. May the Most High thy Power grant peace and all understanding during these tragic times.
Angelica Moore is/was my younger cousin whom I will truly miss. RIP: Angie, you will never be forgotten.
