Suspect Arrested, Charged in Fatal Shooting at 6835 Dillon Street

Charges have been filed against a suspect arrested in the fatal shooting of a woman about 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 18).

The suspect, Raymond Gene Lazarine (w/m, DOB: 11-11-51), is charged with murder in the 184th State District Court. He is accused in the killing of his wife, Deborah Lazarine, 63, of the above address. Ms. Lazarine suffered multiple gunshot wounds and died at the scene.

HPD Homicide Division Sergeants A. Versluis, B. Harris and Senior Police Officer M. Waters reported:

Raymond Lazarine called his son and told him he had shot his wife, Deborah. The son immediately drove to the residence and found his mother deceased. HPD officers responded to the scene and took Raymond Lazarine into custody without incident. A weapon was also recovered at the scene.

Fatal Traffic Accident at 2000 Antoine

Houston police are investigating a fatal traffic accident at 2000 Antoine about 8 p.m. on Wednesday (Dec. 18).

The identity of the deceased male victim, 16, is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences.

HPD Vehicular Crimes Division Sergeant A. Vanderbull and Officer J. Leon reported:

A black Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling at a high rate of speed northbound on Antoine when it struck a curb, went onto a sidewalk, into a fence and then a tree. The victim, a passenger in the truck, was pronounced dead at the scene. The male driver, 18, and another male passenger, 13, were ejected from the truck and suffered non life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to area hospitals.

No charges have been filed at this time
