RICHMOND, TX - For the 16th year, the Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Office Kids & Cops Summer Camps will be held at schools around Fort Bend County.

The camps will be held Mondays through Thursdays, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. beginning the second week of June and going through the first week of August. The schedule skps the week of July 4th. Participants in the camp will enjoy team competitions, roller skating, a day of fun at Gatti Town and other activities.

The camp allows students to learn in a structured, but fun program that encourages teamwork, promotes leadership skills, boosts self-esteem, fosters creativity and sharpens problem-solving techniques.

The cost for the camp is $55 and will include drinks and snacks each day, lunch for three days, a camp T-shirt, a team bracelet, cost for the field trips along with other fun-filled activities. The camps are open to students ages 10, 11 and 12. Students must be 10, 11 or 12 on the first day of the camp in which they are enrolled.

The camp dates and locations are: Camp. No. 1, June 10-13, Hodges Bend Middle School, 16510 Bissonnet, Houston; Camp No. 2, June 15-20, Briscoe Junior High School, 4300 FM 723, Richmond; Camp No. 3, June 24-27, Sartartia Middle School, 8125 Homeward Way, Sugar Land; Camp No. 4, July 8-11, Needville Junior High, 16413 Hwy. 36, Needville; Camp No. 5, July 15-18, Navarro Middle School, 4700 Ave. N, Rosenberg; Camp No. 6, July 22-25, Sartartia Middle School, 8125 Homeward Way, Sugar Land; Camp No. 7, July 29-Aug. 1, Bowie Middle School, 700 Plantation Dr., Richmond (near Pecan Grove); and Camp No. 8, Aug. 5-8, Quail Valley Middle School, 3019 FM 1092, Missouri City.

The camps will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis with only 60 students per camp. The camps tend to fill quickly, so please fill out the application and send it with payment as soon as possible.
