Fort Worth police arrested a man who they say killed a 29-year-old woman earlier this month.

Police said they found Ryan Rice’s body around 4:15 p.m. Dec. 15 underneath a tree near the Rockwood Park baseball fields in the 700 block of Rock Cress Drive. She died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s office.

Police said the investigation led to Joshua Gonzalez, 33. He was arrested Monday without incident, police said.

Police have no yet said why they are charging Gonzalez with capital murder instead of murder.

He is being held in the Mansfield City Jail in lieu of $500,000 bail.
