Benjamine Earl Stanford - Missing from Dickinson
UPDATE: Feb. 22, 2013 Missing Person Located Benjamin Earl Stanford

The body of Benjamin Earl Stanford was located early this morning in a wooded area in the 3000 block of FM 1764 in La Marque.

Officers with La Marque PD and Dickinson PD arrived at the scene and conducted an investigation, as well as the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office.  Personal items and identification of Stanford's were located near the body. 

It appears Mr. Stanford had taken his own life. 

The body was transported to the Galveston County Medical Examiner's Office, where positive identification of the body and determination of cause of death will be made.

DICKINSON - Police are seeking the public's help in finding a man reported missing.

Benjamin Earl Stanford, 25, was last seen Jan. 28 at his home on Avenue L.


Stanford left without telling relatives, who found his cellphone inside of his car in the 2800 block of FM 1764 in La Marque.


Stanford is 6 feet 6 inches tall and weighs 185 pounds.


He has blonde hair and blue eyes and was last seen wearing a green fleece jacket, blue polo shirt, bluejeans and white sneakers.
