Sept. 3, 2013

ROCKPORT - A 20 year old woman was found dead of an apparent gunshot wound at a home in Rockport. Police say the woman's husband, 21 year old Andrew Harvey is charged with her murder.

Police discovered the woman's body at a home on the 400 block of East Hackberry Street in Rockport. She has been identified as 20 year old Skye Harvey. Police say the killer in this case is 21 year old Andrew Harvey, the woman's husband and father of the couple's 5 month old baby.

According to police, Andrew took the child to a relatives home more than 300 miles away in Nacogdoches County, in east Texas. The relative there was concerned for the victim and notified another family member who called police in Rockport.

Officers were sent to the home to check on the woman. When they found her, she was dead from a gunshot wound.

Neighbors say they never saw any signs of trouble in the couple's marriage.
