DATE: August 9, 2014         6:39 AM
LOCATION: 2200 Ruth Street
OFFENSE: Murder (PC19.02 First Degree Felony)
CASE # 1408090053
At 6:39 AM, Saturday morning, Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a suspicious person call at a home located at 2222 Ruth Street.

A 15 year old male called police after he went outside of his house and saw a man lying on the ground. Officers found a 29 year old male victim down a driveway on the east side of the house underneath the stairway leading to an upstairs apartment. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds and was dead at the scene.

Officers were able to contact several witnesses who heard gunshots in the area at about 10:00 PM on Friday night. Corpus Christi Police Officers responded to a call for shots fired at 10:08 PM on Friday night in that area and did recover an unfired bullet, and at this time it is unknown if that evidence is related to the homicide. Officers did not see the victim at that time due to the darkness and the victim’s position.

At this time Corpus Christi Police Homicide Detective are investigating this crime and no suspects have been arrested.
