Office Conan King

Officer Conan King

La Marque Police Officer Conan King was severely injured in a traffic accident last month and friends and colleagues are organizing a golf tournament to help his family offset staggering medical expenses.

The tournament will be held June 23 at the South Shore Harbor Golf Course in League City and registration is now open. Here is the flyer with all the information.

King, who is vice president of the La Marque Police Association, was heading home after completing his shift on the night of April 25 when a truck pulled out in front of him causing him to crash. Conan was transported by helicopter to Herman Memorial with numerous. including a fractured spine, broken bones in legs and wrist, bruised intestines and lung and an injury to his bladder.

Conan is currently in stable condition after they completed the first surgery. Friends say there are additional surgeries that will be needed to repair the rest of the damage. Insurance is going to cover some but not all of the medical expenses facing his wife and their children

“Conan has a very long recovery in front of him and will be unable to work during that time,” according toa webpage set up for King. “Please help this wonderful family. Any amount helps, the pennies always add up and all the money raised will go directly to the family to help with medical and living expenses.”
