Engaging in Organized Crime

On 1-30-14, Conroe Police Department and Montgomery Co. Precinct 2 Constables , in conjunction with the Willis Police Department and the Montgomery Co. District Attorney’s office, conducted a search warrant at 111 N. Sixth Street, Suite 106,  in reference to an illegal gambling establishment located in the business identified as Zee’s Phones and Accessories. 

Acting on complaints and a tip regarding the establishment, the above agencies conducted a two month long investigation and discovered the store was actually an illegal gambling place. 

A search of the businesses yielded 28 gambling machines and other evidence indicating illegal gambling.  Additionally, the store owner,  Nofil Amin, 31 years old, was arrested on charges of Engaging in Organized Crime.  A search of his residence in Kingwood also yielded evidence.
 
The Conroe Police Department, in conjunction with the above mentioned agencies are conducting additional investigations regarding numerous other locations that may be operating illegal gambling operations.
