Sheriff Brian C. Hawthorne encourages all of Chambers County to come out and show your support for the American Red Cross.

Enthusiasm and excitement is radiating from the local American Red Cross as they announce this year’s Anything Crawfish Cook-off held Saturday, May 10, 2014 from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Whites Park, in partnership with Chambers County.

This volunteer driven family event will include a crawfish cook-off, plenty of fresh, hot & spicy crawfish for purchase as well as our local volunteer fire departments throughout the county will be selling other delicious treats such as sausage on a stick, corndogs, chips and drinks. All proceeds go to support the American Red Cross. Kids of all ages will enjoy the impressive car show, a fun filled kids zone, and hands on experience with the local emergency and law enforcement equipment all while listening to live entertainment.

The event, in partnership with Chambers County, will showcase the many areas in which the American Red Cross is constantly working within our community to help you prevent and prepare for any emergency that could potentially affect our area.  This event will allow residents the opportunity to discover how they can give back to their community by becoming involved with the American Red Cross within the surrounding area including Chambers and Liberty County as well as Baytown and part of the Clear Lake. Come out and support those who support you so faithfully.

Do your part by joining us on Saturday May 10th at Whites Park for a day filled with food, family fun and community involvement.

 Admission is free!!!

The price of crawfish is $20, which includes three pounds of crawfish, corn and potatoes. Sponsorships start at $250. For more information please contact the American Red Cross Baytown office at 281-424-1300 or visit
