TEXAS CITY - A 21 year old former Galveston man is dead following a shooting early this morning in Texas City.  Danzel Lee Campbell, also known as Danzel Sterling Campbell was found shot and wounded in the street before one o'clock this morning when police arrived at the scene in the 1200 block of 7th Avenue North.

Another 19 year old man was also shot and was under arrest while being treated at Mainland Center Hospital.

Police speculate the 19 year old went to the house looking for Campbell and found him, leading to the gunfire.

Campbell was known to Galveston Police for having been arrested there for a Sexual Assault and an Assault Causing Injury and other minor charges.  He has two different birthdays on file in police records, 2 years different.

Arrested for SEXUAL ASSAULT and ASSAULT CAUSING INJURY and other MINOR charges. If sexual assault and causing injuries to others in minor, what in the name of God is a MAJOR crime???
