On January 29, 2014 at approximately 1700 hrs officers with the Bryan Police Department were able to make contact with Marcus Joshua in the area of Texas Avenue and Villa Maria during a traffic stop. Joshua was taken into custody on the outstanding warrant charging him with Aggravated Robbery as well as a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana. Joshua is currently incarcerated in the Brazos County jail in lieu of bond. Investigation into this offense continues and additional arrests and charges are possible.

On January 22, 2014, as part of their on-going investigation, detectives with the College Station Police Department presented information that led to the issuance of an arrest warrants in this offense. On January 27, 2014 detectives were able to locate and take into custody one of the suspects in this offense in the 600 blk of William Joel Bryan Parkway in Bryan. Arrested and charged with one count of Aggravated Robbery was: Theapolis Maurice Nelson, 18 years old of Bryan.
Investigation into this incident revealed that the victim in this offense, an 18 year old College Station resident, had entered into an agreement with Nelson to purchase a quantity of narcotics. On January 21, 2014 Nelson, accompanied by two other males, picked up the victim at her residence and drove to a nearby location to conduct the transaction. After the transaction was completed, the front seat passenger of the vehicle produced a handgun and demanded the narcotics back from the victim. The victim then reported that Nelson forced her from the vehicle and the suspects left the area. The victim was able to provide police with a moniker for Nelson and detectives were able to identify him and obtain the warrant for his arrest.
Continued investigation into this incident has led to the issuance of an arrest warrant for the gunman also charging him with Aggravated Robbery. He is identified as: Marcus Joshua, 24 years old or Bryan.

January 21, 2014 - News: Aggravated Robbery
On January 21, 2014 at approximately 0219 hrs, officers of the College Station Police Department responded to a report of an aggravated robbery that had occurred in the 1400 blk of Airline a short time before. Upon arrival officers met with the victim of this offense, an 18 year old College Station resident, and learned the following information.
The victim reported that she had been picked up at her residence by an acquaintance and driven nearby to the 1400 blk of Airline. While at that location, a suspect that was in the acquaintance’s vehicle produced a handgun and demanded property from the victim. Once the suspects had control over the victim’s property as well as property she had just obtained from the acquaintance, she was removed from her vehicle by the acquaintance and the vehicle fled the area.
The victim returned to her residence and contacted police. There were no report of any injuries in this incident and investigation into the matter continues by the Criminal Investigations Division of the College Station Police Department.
