HOUSTON -- Detectives searched Monday for a hit-and-run driver who killed a deputy while fellow officers worked to help his wife and children, KPRC Local 2 reported.

Harris County Precinct 3 deputy Robert Clenney, 38, was killed when a small dark car hit his vehicle from behind Saturday at 11 p.m. in the 1700 block of South Main in the Highlands.
