LAKE JACKSON - A 63-year-old man who escaped as his house burned early Friday told firefighters the woman they found dead inside probably was his 41-year-old caregiver, but officials were waiting for an autopsy to confirm her identity.

A woman's body was found inside the room of Karen Perkins, who lived in the home with Randy Ramming.
