GALVESTON - Police say the man that leaped to his death from the top floor of a downtown building Wednesday afteroon was 50-year old Kendall McKnight of Bayou Vista.

A passerby found McKnight's body lying at the foot of the Medical Arts Building on 21st Street and called police.

No one actually saw the man jump from the building although a crowd quickly gathered once his body was discovered.

The building from which he jumped is 11-stories tall.
