Jamaica Beach Police Office Clint Millo Stands With Recovered Stolen Bobcast

June 18, 2009

JAMAICA BEACH - Construction equipment valued at over $20,000, stolen from League City was recovered Wednesday on a job site in Jamaica Beach, a community on west Galveston Island.

Jamaica Beach Police Lt. Steve Hubbell told The Police News a Bobcat, tracked vehicle and trailer were both stolen earlier from United Rentals in League City.

Jamacia Beach patrol officer Clint Millo spotted the equipment at a residence undergoing storm repair in the 16600 block of Jamaica Cove.  Hubbell said the persons who brought the equipment there have not been identified and both police agencies are investigating the theft.

On the same day over $50,000 in heavy equipment was stolen from Bayside Storage at 17616 FM-3005 just west of Jamaica Beach.  Galveston police officer Jimmy De Los Santos reported a 16', 2 axle flatbed trainer and a 2004 model Caterpillar track loader were stolen.  The loader was equipped with a grapple bucket, a dirt bucket and a set of tractor forks.

Persons with information relative to either of these cases are encouraged to call Galveston Crime Stoppers 409-7632-TIPS (8477).  Crime Stoppers pays cash rewards for information leading to the arrest and grand jury indictment of anyone wanted for a felony crime.

You need not give your name when calling Crime Stoppers.
