Carlo Alejandro Gonzalez - Considered Dangerous
Carlo Alejandro Gonzalez - Considered Dangerous
By Jamie Nash / The Police News

July 28, 2009

A Mexican parolee has been named as the second suspect in the July 3 brutal beating and robbery of a 66-year-old man at his Patton Village home.

Police Chief Joe Schultea said an arrest warrant was issued on Monday for 24-year-old Carlo Alejandro Gonzalez, of Houston, charged with aggravated robbery.

The first suspect, 22-year-old Tanya D. Swarthout, was arrested July 12 and indicted by a Montgomery County Grand Jury on Aggravated Robbery charges. She remains in the Montgomery County Jail, in lieu $100,000 bond.

The man, whose name is withheld for his safety, told investigators he heard a car pull into his driveway and went onto his porch where he was met by a woman he identified as Swarthout. As they talked, a man now identified as Gonzalez got out of the car, walked up to the porch and attacked the resident with a club, striking the man's head repeatedly causing severe injuries.

Schultea said during the assault, Swarthout went into the man's home and took $600 he received from Social Security, and his cell phone.

After an extensive investigation that included interviews with people in the areas of Splendora and North Houston, Patton Village Police assisted by crime analysts with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office developed information about Gonzalez, then presented witnesses with a photographic lineup. Gonzalez was positively identified, Schultea said.

Around 7:30 p.m. on Monday, Schultea and officers with the Houston Police Department tried to execute the warrant by going to Gonzalez's house in North Houston, but he was not at home.

Carlo Alejandro Gonzalez is described as a Hispanic male, 5 feet 11 inches, weighing approximately 200 pounds, with a medium complexion and black hair.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this suspect should contact Chief Schultea at (281)689-9511 or any Police Officer, and should not attempt to detain the suspect on their own.  The suspect is an ex-convict and is currently on parole and is considered dangerous.
