A 52-year-old Rockport man was struck by a vehicle Friday, Sept. 11 as he was crossing Highway 35, and he later succumbed to his injuries.

According to a Rockport Police Department report, the victim is Lloyd "Midnight" Longoria. RPD officers Kevin Henneke and Rachel Marshman responded to the 911 call to 601 Business Highway South at about 8:43 p.m.
