HITCHCOCK - A woman airlifted from an automobile crash that temporarily closed state Highway 6 died of her injuries, authorities said Friday.

Brenda Kari Esparza-Aceituno, 20, of La Marque, was pronounced dead at Memorial Hermann Hospital at 5:12 p.m. Thursday, state troopers said. She had been wearing a seat belt when the crash occurred, investigators said.
