Bobby was a dear friend of mine in Martin High School and graduated the year behind me-- we both played trumpet in the band. We kept up with each other over the last few years-- and he always called me "Jimmy". I recently wrote him for help on writing my first novel about the 1938 dynamite bombing of three little girls in East Tennessee and Bobby gave me some good advice on my new endeavor, since he had written 4 successful historical novels about the Texas Rangers. I am shocked by his passing and I grieve for him. I send my sincere condolences to Donna and the family.

I am shocked and saddened by Bobby's sudden death. I owe him my time with New London Survivors as he was the one who tracked me down and persuaded me to revisit the site. Donna was always so hospitable and kind. I will miss his gentle kidding about our political differences and his encylopedic
knowledge about the area and the Explosion. He knew how to live life to the fullest. Love, Queenie (His nickname for me)
