Two Alvin residents were killed in single vehicle car crash in Friendswood Saturday.  A passenger in the vehicle is in critical condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
     The driver, a male age 21 and the front seat passenger, a female age 21, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 2400 block of W. Parkwood Avenue.  Witnesses told police that the 2002 Dodge Intrepid was traveling approximately 50 miles an hour westbound on W. Parkwood Avenue when the vehicle suddenly swerved to the right and collided head-on with a utility pole.  The speed limit at the scene of the crash is 45 mph.
      A rear passenger in the vehicle, a male age 30, of Dickinson was taken by PHI Air Ambulance to the Texas Medical Center.  He is in critical condition.  Police are not releasing the names of the vehicle occupants, pending notification of next of kin.
     Police believe that alcohol and drugs may have been contributing factors to the crash.  Police recovered several hydrocodone tablets from the vehicle that were not contained in a prescription bottle and reported the odor of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. 
        The driver was wearing his seatbelt.  Police report that the two passengers were not wearing their seatbelts.

Friendswood Crash Kills Two
     FRIENDSWOOD - Two Alvin residents were killed in a single vehicle car crash in Friendswood at approximately 11:42 p.m. Saturday, March 28.  A passenger in the vehicle is in guarded condition at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston.
     Matthew Urdiales, 21, and Chelsie Agharaad, 21, were pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 2400 block of W.       A rear passenger in the vehicle, Richard Urdiales, 30, of Dickinson was taken by PHI Air Ambulance to the Texas Medical Center. Relatives told police that the two men were cousins.
     Police believe that alcohol and drugs may have been contributing factors to the crash.  Police recovered several hydrocodone tablets from the vehicle that were not contained in a prescription bottle and reported the odor of an alcoholic beverage in the vehicle. 
        The driver was wearing his seatbelt.  Police report that the two passengers were not wearing their seatbelts.
