BACLIFF, Texas - The owner of the La Mejor Meat Market at 942 Grand Ave., was returning from the bank with payroll when she was confronted in the parking lot by two Hispanic men armed with pistols.
One of the men called her by name and forced her back into her vehicle threatening to kill her and her daughter who was with her if she didn't surrender her purse.
The woman complied and the two men fled on foot east into a field. It is believed they got into a late 1990's or early 2000 model Grey Ford F-150 pickup truck which was parked nearby. They were both wearing grey jackets and brown toboggan style caps.
